Weather Worries?
In Perth and Western Australia, we are particularly blessed with great weather `most' of the time. This state is made for location photography, which is great for weddings.
The seasons can generally be broken into these groups;
- December to March - hot, dry and sometime windy (sea breeze).
- April and May - mild, chance of rain, often little wind, chilly in the evenings.
- June to September - Often cold, can be windy/stormy, probably rain, dark at the end of the day, but you can score some magnificent sun days.
- October and November - Similar to April and May - mild, chance of rain, often little wind, chilly in the evenings.
The weather is something we can't control. But what we can control is how we handle it.
If you are planning a wedding in the winter months, assume it is going to be wet and if the day is sunny, then it's a bonus!
During the week leading up to the wedding day, we'll have an idea if the weather is going to be unkind. We will then have contingencies and plan for suitable locations, just in case. We've never missed out on a great collect of photos, even when it is pouring with rain all day!
Our philosophy is quiet simple - it the day is going to be wet, cold, dark or windy - we simply use indoor locations where everyone is comfortable.
If the day is going to be stinking hot - then we'll use cool shady locations and/or indoor airconditioned venues.
Handling the weather is one of many aspects of the day where we can help and we'll run through the contingencies with you.
